What
is the MultiLightTM System? |
 |
The
MultiLightTM
System is a noninvasive light therapy designed to eliminate
unwanted hair from every part of the body as well as eliminate
skin discoloration and blood vessels. It even removes tattoos! |
| |
|
 |
How
does the EpiLightTM System remove unwanted hair? |
 |
The
flash of light gently penetrates the skin and destroys hundreds
of unwanted hair follicles simultaneously. 84% of actively growing
hair is destroyed with a single treatment. |
| |
|
 |
Is
there any pain? |
 |
Minimal!
Most people describe the sensation as a mild pinch similar to
the snap of a small rubberband. No local anesthesia or pain
medication is required. There is much less discomfort than with
electrolysis or waxing. |
| |
|
 |
Are
there any side effects? |
 |
The
most common side effect is a slight reddening of the skin or
mild swelling in the area treated which goes away in a few hours.
In rare cases, a small blister may occur, but no long lasting
damage to the skin. |
| |
|
 |
How
many treatments will I need? |
 |
Each
person is different, and each hair follicle needs to be treated
while it is actively growing. Therefore, 3-5 treatments may
be necessary to get the results wanted. |
| |
|
 |
Can
we do it quicker? |
 |
Neither
the doctor, technician or patient can control the hair cycle
pattern. |
| |
|
 |
Who
can be treated with the MultiLightTM
System? |
 |
The
MultiLightTM
System is effective for men and women both young or old, and
can be used on most skin types. A consultation can determine
if this is right for you. |
| |
|
 |
Can
this treatment be done during pregnancy? |
 |
It
is not advised. |
| |
|
 |
How
is the MultiLightTM
System different from lasers? |
 |
One
of the big advantages is that the doctor can customize treatment
specifically for your hair color, texture and body location.
This flexible approach to hair removal treatment cannot be achieved
with any common laser or noninvasive methods currently available.
Lasers are limited to a single wave length of light for treatment.
The MultiLightTM
can be used over a range of wavelength, thus delivering far
more precise customization for your hair location, color, and
courseness. Studies have shown that the MultiLightTM
Sytem provides a higher clearance rate of hair
compared with the laser with the same number of treatments. |
| |
|
 |
How
much does it cost? |
 |
This
is an important question because cost is determined by the size
of the area to be treated and the number of treatments needed.
Costs can be as low as $200. We offer a free consultation with
Dr. Reilley to help determine what your cost will be. |

is a PhotoFacial? |
 |

to the collagen layer. This causes the collagen to contract
and helps smooth out fine wrinkles, large pores and uneven color/texture. |

 |
How
is the MultiLightTM treatment for leg veins different
from sclerotherapy? |
 |
First
and most importantly, there are no needles with MultiLightTM
treatment. The light causes the blood vessels to collapse. The
smallest vessels disappear first, and with repeated treatments,
the larger spider veins will disappear as well. |
| |
|
 |
What
kinds of leg veins can be treated? |
 |
The
MultiLightTM treats the small, red veins (spider
veins). It is not used to treat larger, bluer veins. A free
consultation with Dr. Reilley will help determine if MultiLightTM
treatments are right for you. |

It
varies, but usually between 3-5. It is up to you how many. When

The
cost is determined by the number of spider veins to be treated.

| |
|
 |
Will
the spider veins be gone forever? |
 |
Probably
not. Whatever caused you to develop spider veins is not treated.
However, touch-ups can be done as often as you like to keep
them in control. |
