What
process is used to preserve my flowers? |
|
| Through
a process called sublimation, the flowers are frozen and
moisture is extracted from the flowers with a vacuum;
leaving the colors and shape more natural looking. Not
all flowers can or should be freeze-dried, so we do use
other methods to give you the best results possible. Our
designers will choose the method more suited for your
flowers. |

|
How
long will it take to receive my completed project? |
|
On
the average, it will take 4-12 weeks. However, we do reserve
the right to extend that time frame if it means it will enhance
your design. Also, if you choose not to order your frame or
dome at the time the reservation is made, the process will take
longer. All orders paid in full in advance (at the time the
reservation is made) will be subject to a 10% discount. |

|
How
long will my keepsake last? |
|
If
proper care is taken, your encased flowers should last several
years. You should keep your design out of direct sunlight, out
of high moisture rooms and away from extreme temperatures. Flowers
not placed in encasements will only last 2-5 years. |
| |
|
|
How
much does it cost? |
|
Preserving
your flowers can cost approximately $50.00 to $550.00, depending
your encasement selection. We have several selections to choose
from. |

|
|
How do I place my order? |
|
Call
us, preferably before the wedding, to reserve your space in
our dryers. A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 must be paid
at the time the reservation is placed. If advance arrangements
are not made, the deposit must be received at the time we receive
the flowers. |

|
How
soon should I get my flowers to you? |
|
Gardens
of the Heart will pick up your bouquet from your reception site
if you are in the Des Moines area. The fresher the flowers are,
the better your results. You can designate someone to bring
the flowers to us within 24-48 hours after the occasion but
you must call ahead to make these arrangements. We will accept
flowers on Sunday if arrangements are made. |

|
What
should I do with my flowers until you receive them? |
|
Have
someone lightly mist your flowers with cool water and put them
in the refrigerator, NOT THE FREEZER.
Keep them cool until we receive them. |
