MCIWorld.com has found that an increased reliance on the internet is improving the efficiency of the work place, report by Cyber Atlas.

The survey was conducted over a group of 300 internet connected business professionals on web usage and habits. Here are some of the results:

* Business travelers use the web to access   online maps=94%
* Obtain flight information=89%
* Purchase airline tickets=58%
* Conduct research=82%
* Make hotel reservations=67%
* 68% surveyed said they saved money using   the net.
* 63% said it improved customer relations.
* 6% said it reduced travel.
* Almost all said that using the net helped to   reduce stress.

* The internet helps people keep up with personal responsibilities.
* 2/3 of all business travelers said they purchase online while on the road.
* 43% bank online.
* 26% manage investment online.

There is strong evidence that more and more professionals will rely on the net and that consumers in general are moving in a "net purchase" paradigm.

The business that has a strong web presence will have a distinctive advantage over the store front business not on the net.
